Most of the women who undergo chemotherapy will have hair loss. This affects them very much psychologically. It becomes difficult for them to go out in social outing. It is a part and parcel of the treatment. But hair grows back to normal once the chemotherapy is over.
As such, nothing much can be done for the hair loss. Women who have long hair, we get it cut before the start of the chemotherapy and make a wig out of their own hair. So although one can make out that the patient is wearing a wig, it is from their natural hair so natural in colour and texture.
There are many places where the wigs are made. It is a very affordable, accessible and convenient option.
Another option is hair transplant but it does not help much during chemotherapy. It is very expensive, it involves extra surgical procedure and not well received in our Indian setup.
